Italy, Summer, 2006

Our trip to Italy was the result of years of discussion about where in the world we'd most like to visit outside of the United States. We both agreed on the Mediterranean for a variety of reasons ranging from the abundance of ancient ruins to the culture to the scenery to the food (need I mention that Gina is also half Sicilian?!?). We visited a number of key areas in Italy during our 11-day trip: Venice, Padua, Pisa, Florence, Perugia, Assisi, Rome, the Vatican, Pompeii and Sorrento.
